Easter is a much celebrated and beloved holiday for me and my family. From observing Lent, to dyeing eggs, hiding baskets filled with sweet treats and small trinkets, to enjoying spring with a good old fashioned Easter egg hunt. We also love sharing good conversation over a delicious meal. Often this includes festivities such as brunch with friends and dinner with family. This year, we’re hosting a sunrise Easter service at our house and we’ll conclude with a buffet breakfast, so I wanted a table that’s festive and fun for both the adults and young ones.

Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, home to many Irish immigrants, my memory is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a large St. Patty’s Day parade, lots of corned beef and cabbage, and of course, beer. Now as a mom of four and living in a small town in Southern Michigan, I’ve been thinking a lot about how to recreate a festive, family celebration at home.
