As we wrap up our campaign highlighting Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we take a closer look at the second round-up of our blogger partners who shared their time and insights with us. Let’s get to know these talented women who showcased their decorating skills, and are helping increase awareness about the disease.
Dalia of Inspirations by D
DIY and lifestyle blog Inspirations by D is the brainchild of Dalia Torres, a mom and wife who enjoys living life in a way that makes it a blessing for others. Dalia has been blogging for more than 6 years, having started the blog as a means to keep in touch with loved ones. Today, Inspirations by D is home to numerous tutorials, her favorite recipes, crafting projects, and more.
Dalia tells us, “Breast Cancer Awareness Month to me is a reminder of hope to many that are affected by the disease; it is a time to take steps to detect the cancer in its early stages.”
Jenna of Wife in Progress
An avid crafter and DIYer, Jenna started her blog, Wife in Progress, as a way to easily share her projects with family and friends back home in Ireland. She is a teacher with a passion for writing and technology and uses her blog to marry the two.
For Jenna, Breast Cancer Awareness month is “a great opportunity to raise awareness of breast cancer and to help raise funds to aid in the research of the disease and cures.”
Julie of Mom Fabuluous
Author of Mom Fabulous, Julie focuses on simple, creative solutions for the overwhelmed woman. Whether it’s meals, fashion, keeping the house in order, or her schedule, she doesn’t make things complicated. As Julie puts it, “The simpler, the better. The more creative, the more I enjoy it.”
She believes that “Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a time to shine light on one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers and to also empower those who are affected by it every single day.”
Priscilla of The Wheelchair Mommy
This Shiner native realized she wanted to document her life when one of her nurses gave her a book after she got paralyzed. The Wheelchair Mommy is an account of Priscilla’s every day ordinary life on wheels and her kids’ experiences.
She shares, “Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a reminder that life is short and making sure you take care of your health is vital.”

Shand of Quarters One
Our final blogger for this round-up is an Army wife living in Army quarters with a passion for entertaining and moving furniture around. Shand shares her experiences and two cents as a wife to a Lieutenant General in her blog Quarters One. With roots in the coastal states of Rhode Island and South Carolina, she and her husband love the salty air and ocean breeze.
As someone who gets regular physical check-ups, Shand says that “October is the time to get a yearly mammogram and to remind friends and family to get theirs, too!”
